Proenza Schouler resort 2011

Have I ever told you that Proenza Schouler is one of my favourite fashion houses? If I haven't, let me tell you that there aren't many brands as innovative as it.
Anyways, let's move on the new resort collection.
As Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough (the Proenza Schouler designers) said, "resort is about real clothes for our friends. Everybody went so far into fantasy that we lost the public. There's something about reality that feels fresh right now."
Indeed, each piece is incredibly wearable, but any of them is not for a moment banal. The collection was influenced by a trip in India, so it clearly shows many oriental patterns, which, I must admit, I'm crazy for. In fact lately Asia, and especially Far East, does attract me a lot.
Going back to the collection, there is a special type of dyeing, the bandhani, defined by style.com the cousin to tie-dyeing, which was used in some items.
I really love this urban-exotic style with some bon-ton marks. And now enjoy the (almost) entire collection.

I apologize for my English, so excuse me for making errors. You know, I'm Italian, but I study English and I try to improve it everyday. And thank you very much for following me!

Dion Lee S/S 2010

I'm amazed looking at Dion Lee S/S 2010 collection, shown at Rosemount Australia Fashion Week (rafw) last Thursday at the Sidney Opera House.

In this collection you can identify two main trends that are definitely contrasting: the first one is defined by psychedelic prints that remind me of Proenza Schouler SS 2010; the second one is totally mastered by draperies and pleats. The only elements that joins these two different patterns are the sandals: the same mold red or white.

What do you think about it?
