I wish I could've been there: Glastonbury 2010

I can't even express how much I'd love to have been there in the last few days (or rather, I'd exactly know how to bore you with all my wishes, but I wanna save you LOL). However, a day I'll go to Glastonbury (I know it for certain)  because I think I wouldn't be a worthy person if I didn't go there at least once.
But why do I want it? Well,  at Glastonbury you can breathe freedom, which, I think, is the best thing you can get in your life. Of course, the greatest goal that I aspire to is to live in a free world, where freedom doesn't mean dissipation and uncaring attitude, but respect and openness. Gosh, I'm such a stupid dreamer, that's just an utopia!
But, getting back to Glasto, as you may already know, you can find the most stylish (common and especially famous) people in a hippie version, wearing fake scruffy clothes in an effortless way, so much so that it seems like they would never wear elegant gowns walking the red carpet.
Obviously, this year (as well as previous ones) there was the unfailing Kate Moss (she seems to be even more  attached to English festivals than me). However, she's of course one of the (or just the) biggest British style icons, there's no Glasto without her.

Sienna Miller

The eclectic Florence Welch

Emma Watson

And, yes, once more Alexa Chung!

Now do you feel like rolling in the mod wearing rainproof boots and listening to David Bowie?

My best dressed of the week

And here's an easy topic, because I love to judge what celebrities wear! And, since it's the weekend, it's obsvious what are we going to talk about...
As every Saturday, everyone is wondering who was the best dressed of the week.
These are mine:

Olivia Palermo in Diane Von Furstenberg at 2010 Institute for Civic Leadership spring benefit  (love her flowing floral top matched with the cardigan!)

Rachel Bilson in Zac Posen at "Take no prisoners" party (neutral + floral = perfect outfit!)

I was thinking I should have included in this list as well Alexa Chung at the YSL Belle D'Opium fragrance party. She wore fabulous leather slashed shorts by Yves Saint Laurent which I fell in love with. The tee and the shoes were amazing too, but, to be honest, I don't like her cardigan. However, since her outfit on the whole appears great, I'll post her photo:

What do you think? Who is your best dressed?
P.s. don't forget to follow me on Twitter and Bloglovin too.

First look: Alexa Chung new face of Lacoste fragrance

A while ago it was announced that Alexa Chung will be the new face of the latest Lacoste women's perfume.
The ad campaign will be public no sooner than January next year, but the brand have released this picture from the shoot in London:

I personally love her naturalness and her half-smile so similar to Mona Lisa's one. She looks simply beautiful with that light make-up and the pale pink t-shirt.

Style Watch: Isle of Wight festival 2010

I love the atmosphere that surrounds English festivals: there's always good music, great style and you can meet a lot of original and fashionable people.
This year's Isle of Wight festival took place on the English island over the weekend and there were plenty of celebrities who trod the mud to attend the music event.
The one who people buzzed about the most was of course Kate Moss, wearing denim shorts, leather ankle boots, a fur stole and the Glastonbury bag by Longchamp that she herself designed for the brand:

Among the attendees, there was also the fabulous Alexa Chung with a very comfortable outfit; she was wearing black skinny jeans, a Barbour jacket, flat ankle boots and amazing shades whose, to tell you the truth, I don't know the label (if you know, please tell me!):

And here's Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine (which I really love):

The British model Erin O'Connor and Coco Sumner:

Fashionista also spotted some girls with a great sense of style attending the festival:

Met Ball 2010

Last night, as you might already know, the annual Costume Institute Gala took place at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Lots of celebs took part in this event, wich is one of the most important fashion event of the year, above all because it's been hosted by Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintur with Oprah Winfrey and Patrick Robinson of the Gap. The theme of the gala was "American women: Fashioning a National Identity".
The attention was clearly directed to the outfits of the stars: some of them were absolutely not good, others were great.
Let's have a look...

First of all, I must say I was very impressed by the shining Blake Lively, Serena of Gossip Girl, who had a short peacock blue Marchesa dress on.

Ieri sera, come saprete già, ha avuto luogo l'annuale Costume Institute Gala al Metropolitan Museum of Art a New York.

I also love how Alexa Chung wore her Philip Lim tux, she looked so beautiful (adorable scarlet lips!):

By the way, with no doubts, the most elegant on the red carpet was Anne Hathaway in her Valentino dress.

The award for originality goes to Chanel Iman with a metallic Micheal Kors jumpsuit.

I wanna also show you Coco Rocha with a cool Zac Posen dress, sober Carey Mulligan in Miu Miu and the lovely outfit worn by Sienna Miller (Emilio Pucci blue dress).

Lastly here's Anna Wintour in Chanel.

Infine ecco Anna Wintour in Chanel.

OMG, I was almost forgetting one the most best dressed of the gala! I'm talking about Chloe Sevigny, who wore a Proenza Schouler fabulous short dress.

Style star: Alexa Chung
