Marc Jacobs + Marc by Marc Jacobs resort 2011

Yes, another - or rather, two others- resort collection (I hope I'm not boring you)! This is the time of Marc Jacobs, which has been my first love, I even think his clothing lines made me fall in love with fashion world.

However, I decided to make a single post for both of Marc's labels, Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs, even if they couldn't be more different from each other.

These are my favourite looks from Marc Jacobs resort 2011 (you can see the entire collection here):

I pretty like the 60s inspiration and polka dots almost everywhere, which give to the collection a positive and carefree feel.

On the whole, I hold that this collection has just a few of great pieces, the rest is quite insignificant. I mean, too little originality.

CFDA awards 2010

Yesterday night was the night of the Oscars of fashion, the CFDA awards. Many celebrities attended the event (someone was very well dressed, someone else a bit less) and, this is the most important thing, they disclosed who won. So, here are the winners:

I love Bryanboy!

I just twittered that Sundays are the only days full of downtimes and I love them just because of that.
So, to keep me away from boredom, I thought of going on Polyvore to create some cool outfits. Then I got an idea and I realized that I had to do something about Bryanboy. I really really really love that guy!
I just got inspired by him and this is the result:

The ankle boots are from Prada (they're enchanting!) and I obsviously put in this set the BB bag by Marc Jacobs (the bag that Marc designed for the Filipino blogger) and the Bryanboy's symbol: the Marc Jacobs limited edition sunglasses.

Fashion Tech: iPad

Quando si parla di moda è inevitabile che l'attenzione, prima o poi, ricada anche sull'ultimo ritrovato hi tech, specie se si tratta di qualche prodotto di casa Jobs.
Da mesi, poi, è scoppiata una nuova mania.
Di cosa starò mai parlando? Beh, sono sicura che non sarà poi così difficile capirlo: l'iPad è ormai sulla bocca di tutti e nelle borse (più che nelle tasche, viste le dimensioni) di 6-700.000 fortunati, che da quando, ieri, è entrato in commercio, hanno fatto di tutto per accaparrarselo. Come era già successo per i suoi predecessori (iPod e iPhone), la coda davanti all'Apple Store sulla Fifth Avenue è stata inevitabile, ma in molti hanno scelto di ordinarlo comodamente su Internet.


Chissà ora quale delle nostre fashion icons preferite si farà fotografare con in mano un'iPad. Perchè, come tutti i prodotti di casa Apple, anche questo, oltre a tante funzioni molto utili, colpisce per il suo design all'avanguardia e senza dubbio molto chic.
In attesa che arrivi anche in Italia, con la speranza di riuscirne ad acquistare uno, meglio cominciare a cercare online una borsa porta-notebook adatta e acessori vari.
La mia preferita è questa, dalla collezione Spring 2010 di Marc by Marc Jacobs (e a soli $69!):

Se come me siete appassionate fan di Marc Jacobs e aspettavate con bramosia l'apertura del suo primo monomarca in Italia, direi che ho proprio una stupenda notizia da darvi! Ebbene sì, qualche giorno fa ha finalmente aperto il negozio della linea Marc by Marc Jacobs, con annesso un lounge bar aperto dalle 7 e mezzo del mattino alle 2 di notte.
Lo store, di 300 mq, si trova in Piazza del Carmine 6, nel quartiere di Brera, location decisamente azzeccata.
Inutile dire, dunque, che andarci è d'obbligo anche per chi, come me, non abita a Milano o nei pressi. Appena mi troverò da quelle parti, ci farò sicuramente un salto, considerando anche che nel negozio si possono comprare, oltre a capi piuttosto costosi, pezzi molto più economici.
