Pleasant dark moments - Numero Homme cover shoot by Karl Largerfeld

Today I can't stop thinking quickly, I feel so excited (it may be because of my upcoming trip to London!!!) and it's been a very long time since I've had so much energy.
Paradoxically, when I saw this dark photoshoot by Karl Lagerfeld I felt even more kinda electrified. It sounds weird, as those pictures seems to be not so bright. But they conceal a sort of intriguing mystery that leaks out and bewitches you in such a pleasant way.
Enjoy the cover shoot of Numéro Homme with Karl Lagerfeld's muses Freja Beha, Abbey Lee, Heidi Mount and Baptiste Giabiconi.

Balenciaga fall 2010 shoes

It's insanely awesome how a complexity of shapes and materials propers to architecture can be translated into a shoe with this surprising result. I really heart these shoes! And they're all so breathtaking that I can't tell which one is my favorite.

Nicolas Ghesquière said “Cosmonauts and seventies Formica. Packaging and food boxes. Synthetic foam and plywood. And a kind of rigidity” were his inspirations to make these shoes.
What else can I say? They are themselves an inspiration.

Here's Freja Beha wearing a pair of Baleciagas fall 2010 for the August issue of Vogue UK.

Kate Moss for Isabel Marant fall 2010 ad campaign

Here's a quick post about the new Isabel Marant fall 2010 ad campaign featuring the ever-stunning Kate Moss.
This is just a preview of the campaign, but I think this single photo is already a bright premise. The print jeans are kindly amazing and, well, Kate and Isabel are so good together that they don't need anything more than an empty room like that below to create something interesting.

That's all. I'm not sure I'm going to blog again today, so have a good weekend everybody! By the way, what are you up to tonight?

The dark side of first love - Valentino Haute Couture F/W 2010

Valentino Haute Couture was superb, one of the most charming collections presented at Paris Haute Couture this year, but beyond doubt the one with the most doll-like (maybe a little too much, even if they were adorable) dresses. The recall to young women in an entire Lolita style is very clear since the name of the collection: The dark side of first love. This is usually not a prerogative of Valentino collections, but I must admit I pretty appreciated the turning point, as I'm partial to pretty and innocent style.
These are my favorite looks.

Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show backstage

I spotted on the Internet some fantastic photos taken at Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show in the backstage. I don't know if it's the same for you, but I've always been charmed by backstage reports. The exclusive atmosphere, the anxiety and all the last preparations before the incoming show... I just love it! And well, I guess it's pointless to explain that the behind the scenes of a Gaultier show is extremely chic and surreal. Who wouldn't like to be there?
