Menswear S/S 2011 - Part 1: Pitti Uomo 2010

I must admit, before this year's Pitti Uomo and Milan Fashion Week, I wasn't that interested in men's fashion. But there is always a first time, so I left my biases and I plunged into menswear world.
One of the first shows at Pitti was Haider Ackermann's. How would I define it in a single word? Regal! I would hardly imagine a man could dress in that costumey way, but after all the collection just enchanted me as well as many other fashion passionated people. Finally the icing on the cake was the location where the show took place: the amazing Palazzo Corsini in Florence.
The collection is definitely a triumph of patchworks and dreapes, which reminds me of royal ethnic style. Enjoy it:

I guess you've never seen as many shocking colors as in Jil Sander Spring 2011 menswear collection. It almost seems like a Andy Warhol's picture and that's just why I truly love it!

I just can't take my eyes off of it! Well done, Raf Simons!
